Bangalore, September , 2017: JobsForHer, an online connecting portal enabling professional women on a break to restart their careers, conducted the first edition of its flagship event ‘RestartHer’ – India’s largest conference and career fair for women returning to work. The event saw widespread participation from over 3,000 women returnees along with a wide variety of corporates, speakers, mentors, influencers as well as career experts. The key highpoints of the conference and career fair were the panel discussions, workshops and mentoring sessions to aid women returnees as well as facilitate corporates in offering career opportunities and guidance to returning professionals.
RestartHer’s first edition was sponsored by established brands like Accenture, Epsilon (Platinum sponsor) Diageo and Facebook (Gold sponsors) with Caterpillar, Coca-Cola, Cox & Kings, Dell, Edureka, Ezetap, Manipal Group, Myntra, and Thomson Reuters being the Silver sponsors.
Commenting on the Conference, Neha Bagaria, Founder & CEO, JobsForHer said, “RestartHer 2017 is our very first flagship event for women returning to the workforce, which was carefully curated to inspire and provide guidance to women restarters. Our aim was to offer everything a woman required to get back to work under one roof on one day – jobs, mentors, inspiration, reskilling opportunities and of course a platform for networking. It was extremely gratifying to see so many women make the most of the opportunities we had put together at the event and leaving with their confidence elevated and their aspirations fulfilled.”
Several large and small corporates set up booths at the Career Fair to offer participants an opportunity to relaunch their careers. Participating in RestartHer was a way for sponsors to not only recruit but also get involved in reskilling, inspiring and mentoring women returnees. Accenture guided women on how to navigate changes in the industry through their Career Reboot for Women program for restarters.
RestartHer also offered women the necessary tools, mentorship resources and coaching designed to strengthen and advance their career trajectories. Attendee Nilima Goyal said, “I loved the tag line, ”Welcome to your Potential", which eventually gets lost in the majority of women! There were so many panel discussions, mentoring sessions, reskilling workshops, a career fair, one-on-one's; so much agenda for “Restars"! What else could a restarter ask for? All under one roof! I believe, now there will be a day when almost every woman will atleast take that first step to Restart!
