6th December 2017, Bangalore :Swiss and
European leader in the field of sanitary technology and bathroom
ceramics, Geberit today announced that its Managing Director, India,
Mr.
Abubaker
Koya has been elected President South by Swiss-Indian Chamber of
Commerce at an event held in Bangalore. Mr. Koya takes over the role
from the outgoing president, Mr. Raghuram who had
been in the position for the last 7 years.
Talking during the event, Mr.
Abubaker
Koya, Managing Director, shared “Geberit has been an active member of
the Chamber, collaborating with them on many occasions in India. I am
thankful and delighted to accept the position
today. I look forward to the new role and to be instrumental in
exploring, creating new opportunities for business to grow between the
two nations.
“SICC
has been actively conducting many interesting events in fields such as
education, healthcare etc. and we plan to expand that to all our
southern
chapters going forward. Another area I would like to focus would be
work towards bringing more members under the SICC umbrella”, further
added Mr. Koya.

is devoted to growing business between individuals and companies in
India and Switzerland. Since 2010, SICC in India has had a vibrant
growth with
increased membership year on year. We have been able to spread
awareness on the chambers activities and opened interaction
opportunities with Tier1 and 2 cities where now SICC has a presence.
Mr. Koya has been an active member of the chamber and we have worked
closely in the past. I am very confident that he will take the
chamber`s mandate far and wide during his tenure as the President. I
wish him all the best in his endeavours”, said Mr. Raghuram, Past
